Automated, quantitative microhemagglutination assay for Treponema pallidum antibodies.
An automated, quantitative microhemagglutination assay for antibodies to Treponema pallidum was developed by using T. pallidum-sensitized erythrocytes and an automatic serial-dilution instrument. Reactivity was found in sera from 54 rabbits and 6 chimpanzees infected with T. pallidum. Reactivity was also found in sera from animals infected with T. pertenue, T. carateum, and T. cuniculi. No reac...
متن کاملAutomated, quantitative cytopathic effect reduction assay for interferon.
A rapid, cytopathic effect reduction assay for human interferon (IFN) is described. Dilutions of IFN were made with an automated diluter in 96-well microtiter plates. Total incubation time was 26 h. IFN titers were calculated from optical density readings of crystal violet-stained monolayers in an automated spectrophotometer, which required less than 1 min to read each plate.
متن کاملAutomated, quantitative screening assay for antiangiogenic compounds using transgenic zebrafish.
Pathologic angiogenesis has emerged as an important therapeutic target in several major diseases. Zebrafish offer the potential for high-throughput drug discovery in a whole vertebrate system. We developed the first quantitative, automated assay for antiangiogenic compound identification using zebrafish embryos. This assay uses transgenic zebrafish with fluorescent blood vessels to facilitate i...
متن کاملAn automated immunoradiometric assay for human thyrotropin.
In this two-site immunoradiometric assay for thyrotropin, developed for use in the "Kemtek 3000" automated radioimmunoassay system, commercially available monoclonal antibody to thyrotropin is labeled with 125I, and the solid-phase antibody is an IgG fraction of sheep antiserum to thyrotropin, covalently coupled to reprecipitated aminocellulose. There are two incubations, totalling 3 h, the sen...
